Today’s message from Collective Consciousness is urging you to take a closer look at everything you’ve got going on and let some of it go, because you’re spreading yourself too thin. Many people have been asking of – perhaps even demanding – your time and attention, and you always do your best to attend to them. However, you are now being called to look closely at this. While being in service to others is a large part of what we’re here for, it doesn’t mean that you take care of others at the expense of your own well being. This doesn’t help anybody, least of all you, and if you are worn out, you can’t be much good to anyone for much longer. Your frustration and resentment are felt by all, even if you have suppressed your emotions and are not aware of feeling them.
It’s time for you now to take stock of your life. What activities are you engaging in that are sucking up your time, that you really don’t need (or even really want) to be engaging in? What people need to stop depending on you and learn, for their own good, how to do for themselves? What friendships do you keep that really bring you down into a place of negativity? Who and what are your energy vampires? It’s time to work on your boundaries, and let go any fear of what other people will think of you for saying no, or even ignoring certain ones of them who are frustrating you and testing your patience.
Instead of continuing to engage in this self destructive behavior of being at everyone else’s beck and call, and dribbling away your time and resources on wasteful activities, take some time to do what actually recharges your joy. Go out in nature, take a walk, and notice each magical thing of wonder there is to see. So what if it’s winter time, just bundle up. Or read a book that helps you to visualize and utilize your imagination in happy ways. Turn off your thoughts for a little while and meditate. Take your inner child and go on a little shopping excursion for yourself – buy whatever your inner child wants to play with, and then go home and play with it. Spend time with your pet. If you’re in a warmer climate, perhaps you’d like to spend some time in your garden. Spend some time engaged in your favorite activities – crafting, hiking, photography, painting, drawing, crocheting, knitting, singing, music making… whatever it is that elates your soul.
If there’s something you have been wanting to do, but fear has held you back from starting, it’s time to examine that. Time to move forward and take your first step towards that goal. Let the fear go, and take the time necessary for yourself to get started in this new venture. Prioritize and get started. Just one step forward moves the whole universe in your direction. Wishing for it won’t make it so. You’ve go to make the first move. It’s time to put your dream into action.
